Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeater (GPeR) – The best way to expand your Ethernet network in the toughest places
The Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeater (GPeR) is part of the new MikroTik concept to replace Gigabit-capable passive optical networks with high-performance Ethernet solutions. It’s significantly cheaper and a lot easier to implement!
the GPeR Unit allows the Ethernet cable to be extended by an additional hop (< 100 – 150 m to normal network devices, up to 210 m to another GPeR unit) up to 1,500 m. The maximum length of the Cat. 6 Ethernet cable between GPeR and power source / router is up to 100 m. The maximum distance of the Cat. 6 ethernet cables between two GPeR Devices is up to 210 m. Higher quality cables allow greater distances.
Particularly useful for high-rise office buildings, apartment buildings and coworking spaces with many floors and sections where very long Ethernet or fiber optic cables can be a problem. Of the GPeR is a product of the purest function – simply indispensable.
