01. How do I book a course in the VARIA Academy?
To book a course at the VARIA Academy, please proceed as follows:
- Select the course you want in the training calendar.
- The “registration button” takes you to the lower part of the course page. Select the number of participants and fill out the displayed booking mask with the required data and click on the “Book now” button. The booking and further information will then be displayed on the confirmation page.
02. Can I reserve a course online right away?
Yes. Courses can be booked and reserved online right away. To book a course at the VARIA Academy, please proceed as follows:
- Select the course you want in the training calendar.
- The “registration button” leads you to the lower area of the course page. Select the number of participants and fill out the displayed booking mask with the required data and click on the “Book now” button. The booking and further information will then be displayed on the confirmation page.
03. What are the special features of online courses?
In our online courses you work on your own computer and contact your trainer via video conference (VWS-VariaWebinarServer). No additional client is required, Chrome or Firefox are sufficient, the webinar can therefore also be followed via tablet or smartphone.
You can download the course documents at the beginning of the course.
Please note the following regarding the process:
Test the internet connection, volume, headset and webcam on your computer, tablet or smartphone in good time before the webinar.
Please join the webinar no later than 10 minutes before it begins. Use your real name, if necessary also the company name separated by a hyphen.
After confirming your details, you will enter a virtual waiting room until the instructor adds you to the webinar at the specified start time.
A confirmation of participation will be sent to you after the webinar if you wish.
During webinars, participants can chat with each other. At the end of every webinar there is time to share experiences or ask the lecturer.
04. In which order should the courses be completed?
The requirements for participating in a course are specified in the course description. For example, the MTCNA course (MikroTik Certified Network Associate Certification) is an introductory course for Mikrotik certifications. This course is mandatory for further Mikrotik certification. At Ubiquiti there are no prerequisites, only recommendations.
05. Are the courses in English or German?
The course language is shown in the course description. Most of the courses are in German, the exams in English. For courses in English, a translator is available on request.
06. When do the courses start?
The courses usually last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can always find detailed information in the course description.
07. Can I register several people for a course at the same time?
Yes. In the registration process you choose the number of participants. In the following step you can enter the respective data for each participant separately. Please note our special conditions for multiple registrations. More here
08. How do I get the course material?
In the case of face-to-face courses, you will be given the course material at the beginning. For online courses, you can download it during the course.
09. Which technology is required for face-to-face courses?
A laptop with a LAN interface and two network cables are usually required for classroom training. If additional materials are required, this information can be found in the respective course.
10. How do I pay for a booked course?
You pay in advance after receiving the invoice.
As a public institution, there is the option of paying after the event.

11. Is there proof of attendance?
Yes. All courses have participant certificates, those from Mikrotik, Ubiquiti and Cambium also receive the official manufacturer certificate if the exam is passed.
