The changes concern: TRB14
Technical details: The standard order codes for TRB14 * Devices will change from July 2019, the new standard order codes also include a robust aluminum housing for TRB14 *.

Modification of the RMS licensing logic


The changes affect: Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS) licenses

Technical details: Currently, all RMS licenses expire on the first day of the month. This means that the number of active license days depends on the day the license is activated. After the licensing logic was changed in August 2019, the license remains active for 30 days from the day of activation.

Additional information: All licenses will be activated for a period of 30 days from August 2019, with the exception of the licenses that are already active.

Remarks:

  • Active licenses do not expire on the 1st day of the month, so unused licenses need to be monitored more closely.

Changing the flash memory in RUT devices


The changes concern: RUT2 ** -, RUT9 ** – series and RUT850

Technical details: Teltonika is changing the internal flash memory component in newly produced RUT2 **, RUT9 ** and RUT850 devices. Therefore, old firmware versions do not support new flash memories. Custom firmware based on previous SDK versions will also not work. Devices with an updated flash memory component are shipped with a fully functional, compatible firmware version.

For the RUT2 ** series only RUT2XX_R_00.01.07 and newer firmware will work with the updated hardware.
For the RUT9 ** series only RUT9XX_R_00.06.02 and newer firmware will work with the updated hardware.
For the RUT850 only RUT850_R_00.01.03.4 and newer firmware will work with the updated hardware.
